ECHANGE is building a framework for the use of Compressed Sensing techniques applied to acoustic wave fields.

Trough several study cases (scenarios), ECHANGE is exploring and implementing state of the art techniques to speed up the acquisition and improve the reconstruction of complex wave fields.

Several acoustic scenarios have been chosen to be investigated, first in the audible bandwidth
in air, and ultimately with ultrasonic means underwater. The aim is to design and dimension
various acoustic scenes generating acoustic fields, with growing complexity in terms of sources geometry, spectrum and boundary conditions, that can be studied by existing imaging and/or quantizing signal processing techniques. For each scenario, our goal is to implement and develop CS techniques and devices to improve the speed and quality of the acquisition.

ECHANGE is also exploring theoretical and algorithmic results to ease the implementation of CS within its scenarios.

Here is an overview of the reultts obtained within ECHANGE so far :

bulletExperimental (Scenarios)

Near Field Acoustic Holography

Underwater Acoustic Imaging

Plenacoustic function

Localization and identification of sources

Multiple Room impulse response capture

Theoretical

Blind auto-calibration of Compressed Sensing devices

Plane wave dictionaries

Co-sparse model applied to wave propagation equation

bulletAlgorithmic

Blind filter estimation

Estimation of sources arrival directions in reverberant field
